MAP Converter Bosch ICP-MAP0017 12V Pressure Sensor Interface Module

Bosch MAP Converter ICP-MAP0017 12V pressure sensor interface module is designed to provide a standardized electrical connection and signal adaptation for manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensors. The module enables reliable transmission of MAP sensor voltage or signal levels to vehicle ECUs, diagnostic equipment, or test benches that require a 12V interface. It is intended for applications where straightforward sensor replacement, diagnostic measurement, or integration into monitoring and control systems is needed.

Advantages

The converter offers stable signal conditioning and a compatible 12V supply interface, reducing compatibility issues when connecting MAP sensors to varied systems. Its compact design simplifies installation and cabling, while the Bosch engineering ensures consistent electrical characteristics and dependable signal handover. The unit supports accurate MAP signal transfer without requiring significant modifications to the host system.

Suitable for

• Vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting where MAP sensor signals must be monitored or adapted
• Replacement of original MAP sensor interfaces with a standardized 12V module
• Integration into test benches and prototype setups that require reliable MAP signal interfacing
• Monitoring and control systems that accept a 12V MAP input signal

Key specifications

• Operating voltage: 12 V nominal interface
• Function: electrical interface and signal adaptation for MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensors
• Signal type: MAP sensor voltage/signal conditioning compatible with standard MAP outputs
• Mechanical form factor: compact module suitable for inline installation or mounting in diagnostic setups
• Connection: standardized electrical connector(s) for sensor and host system integration
• Operating environment: automotive and bench-test conditions (ambient temperature and vibration within typical vehicle ranges)

How to use

Connect the MAP sensor to the converter's sensor-side connector and attach the host system or diagnostic tool to the module's output connector. Provide a stable 12V supply to the module according to your vehicle or bench power source. Verify correct polarity and secure connections before powering the system. After installation, monitor the MAP signal at the host interface to confirm that voltages or signal levels correspond to expected ranges for the specific sensor and application.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the converter with MAP sensors and host equipment that adhere to standard MAP output voltages and connector types. Ensure proper mounting to minimize mechanical stress and protect connectors from moisture and contaminants. If using in diagnostic or test environments, confirm grounding and power supply stability to avoid signal noise. Refer to Bosch technical materials or system documentation for specific wiring and installation practices when available.
