Metabo 628541000 Screwdriver Bit Holder

The Metabo 628541000 screwdriver bit holder is a compact accessory designed to accept standard 1/4" hex shank bits. With an overall length of 52 mm and a hex shank diameter of 4 mm (1/4"), this bit holder provides a secure mechanical connection between power tools and screwdriver bits. Its straightforward design focuses on reliable bit retention and easy insertion and removal, supporting consistent torque transfer for assembly, repair, and maintenance tasks.

Advantages

The bit holder offers a stable connection that reduces wobble and improves screw driving accuracy. Its 52 mm length gives a balanced reach that is long enough for many recessed fasteners while remaining compact for work in confined spaces. The standard 1/4" hex interface ensures compatibility with a wide range of screwdriver bits and quick-change chucks. The holder is engineered to maintain a firm grip on bits during repeated operations, helping to minimize bit slippage.

Suitable for

• General assembly and furniture installation
• Electronics and appliance repair
• Construction and carpentry fastening tasks
• Maintenance and service work with power drivers

Key specifications

• Hex shank size: 25.4 / 4 mm (1/4")
• Overall length: 52 mm
• Compatible bit style: 1/4" hex shank screwdriver bits
• Function: bit retention and torque transfer
• Typical applications: handheld and powered screw driving

How to use

Insert a 1/4" hex shank bit into the holder until it seats securely. Attach the bit holder to the tool's chuck or quick-change adapter and ensure it is locked in place before applying torque. Use appropriate speed and torque settings on the power tool to match the fastener and material. To remove a bit, retract any locking sleeve if present and pull the bit straight out. Regularly inspect the holder and bits for wear or damage and replace them when retention or performance degrades.

Recommendations

Use the holder with matched bit sizes and appropriate torque settings to avoid premature wear. For tasks requiring extended reach or magnetic retention, consider combining the holder with compatible extension pieces or magnetic bit tips when suitable for the application.
