Metabo STE 100 Quick Jigsaw

The Metabo STE 100 Quick jigsaw combines a 710 W motor with a compact, lightweight design to deliver controlled, precise cuts. With a maximum idle stroke rate of 3100 spm and a cutting depth up to 100 mm in wood, this top-handle jigsaw is intended for straight and curved cuts in a variety of materials. The tool weighs approximately 2 kg and runs from AC mains power, providing a stable power source for sustained use while its 470 W output power ensures consistent cutting performance.

Advantages

The jigsaw offers a balance of motor power and maneuverability, allowing precise control during detail work and longer cutting sessions thanks to its low weight. The high stroke rate supports faster cutting speeds and smoother edges across wood and other compatible materials. The top-handle layout improves visibility of the cutting line and ergonomics for one-handed guiding in tight or angled positions. Quick blade change and stable mains operation contribute to workflow efficiency.

Suitable for

• Cutting straight and curved shapes in soft and hard wood
• Trimming laminated boards and kitchen worktops
• Making plunge cuts and interior cutouts for fittings
• DIY projects, carpentry and light renovation work

Key specifications

How to use

Secure the workpiece and mark the cutting line clearly before switching on the jigsaw. Fit an appropriate blade for the material and desired finish, ensuring it is locked in the blade holder according to the tool's quick-change mechanism. Connect the tool to a suitable mains outlet and set the stroke rate if an adjustable setting is available. Start the saw and allow it to reach full speed before guiding it along the cutting line with steady pressure; do not force the tool. For plunge cuts, position the blade at the start point and lower it slowly into the material. After use, switch off the mains and wait for the blade to stop before removing or changing accessories.

Recommendations

Use blades matched to the material and cut type (fine-tooth blades for clean finishes, coarse-tooth blades for faster material removal). Wear appropriate eye and hearing protection and secure the workpiece. Avoid excessive side pressure on the blade to reduce wear and maintain straight cuts. For repetitive or long-duration tasks, allow intermittent cooling pauses to help preserve motor life.
