Microconnect B-UTP503 Network Cable Grey 3 m Cat5e U/UTP (UTP)

The Microconnect B-UTP503 is a 3 m Cat5e networking cable with RJ-45 connectors designed for reliable connections between devices such as switches, modems, routers or to structured cabling via patch panels, keystone jacks or wall outlets. It conforms to the Cat5e standard (tested up to 100 MHz), supports 10/100/1000Base-T(X) networks and is backward compatible with Cat5. The cable uses U/UTP construction to reduce interference and comes in grey with latch protection on the connectors.

Advantages

This Cat5e cable provides a compact and cost-effective solution for data and Ethernet connections. Its 3 m length suits small office and home installations, while RJ-45 connectors and latch protection simplify installation and reduce the risk of connector damage. Compliance with Cat5e testing up to 100 MHz and U/UTP shielding help ensure consistent performance and minimized crosstalk.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers, switches, routers and modems
• Patching to patch panels, keystone jacks and wall outlets
• Small office and home network setups
• Entertainment devices such as smart TVs, consoles and set-top boxes

Key specifications

• Cable type: Cat5e (tested up to 100 MHz)
• Length: 3 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45 with latch protection
• Cabling technology: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall braid/foil not applied to pairs)
• Colour: Grey
• Weight: 0.06 kg
• Brand/Model: MicroConnect B-UTP503

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding network port on your devices or infrastructure until the latch clicks. For structured installations, route the cable to patch panels or wall outlets and connect to the appropriate keystone jacks. Ensure ports and network devices are powered off or follow hot-plugging guidance from device manufacturers when connecting live equipment. Avoid sharp bends and excessive tension to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

For best results use this Cat5e cable for short to medium runs (typical up to 30 m for optimal performance within indoor environments) and keep it away from strong electromagnetic sources such as large motors or fluorescent ballast to reduce interference.
