Microconnect MC-PCIE-SSDADAPTER Interface Cards/Adapters Internal M.2

The Microconnect MC-PCIE-SSDADAPTER is an internal interface card that enables connection of M.2 (NGFF) SSDs to a desktop motherboard. Installed in a PCIe slot, the adapter supports M Key NVMe/PCIe M.2 modules and can also accept B Key SATA M.2 modules when used with a SATA-capable motherboard. The card is compact, finished in black, and designed for simple installation without requiring additional drivers.

Advantages

The adapter provides a straightforward way to add M.2 storage to systems with available PCIe slots, allowing efficient data transfer with PCIe/NVMe drives. Its dual compatibility with NGFF M Key (PCIe) and NGFF B Key (SATA) modules increases flexibility when upgrading or expanding storage. The internal design and modest dimensions make it suitable for most desktop builds without occupying excessive space.

Suitable for

• Adding an M.2 NVMe (M Key) SSD to a desktop via PCIe
• Connecting an M.2 SATA (B Key) SSD to a SATA-capable motherboard
• Upgrading or expanding internal storage in small and standard form-factor PCs

Key specifications

• Host interface: PCIe
• Output interface: M.2 (NGFF), supports M Key and B Key
• Internal: Yes
• Colour: Black
• Dimensions (card): 60 mm × 80 mm × 42 mm
• Weight: 0.05 kg
• Brand: MicroConnect, MPN: MC-PCIE-SSDADAPTER, EAN: 5704174031963

How to use

Power off the PC and insert the adapter into an available PCIe slot on the motherboard. Secure the card to the chassis, then install the M.2 SSD into the M.2 slot on the adapter and fasten it with the supplied screw. For NVMe M Key modules, ensure the motherboard supports PCIe lanes for NVMe; for SATA B Key modules, connect to a SATA-capable motherboard. After assembly, power on the system — no additional drivers are required for basic recognition by most operating systems.

Lietošanas ieteikumi

When installing, handle the M.2 module carefully to avoid static damage and confirm BIOS/UEFI settings to enable PCIe/NVMe support if necessary. Use appropriate mounting screws and avoid forcing the module at an angle. For best performance with NVMe drives, use a PCIe slot with sufficient lanes.
