PLANET ISW-621TF unmanaged switch

The PLANET ISW-621TF is an unmanaged L2 Fast Ethernet switch designed for industrial use. It provides four 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports and two 100Base-FX SFP slots for fiber uplinks, allowing link distances from 2 km (multi-mode) up to over 60 km (single-mode). The switch supports a wide operating temperature range from -40 °C to 75 °C and is built to withstand electromagnetic interference and electrical surges common in industrial environments. Compact and wall- or DIN-rail-mountable, it includes dual-redundant, reversible-polarity DC power inputs (12–48 V DC) for reliable operation in transportation, manufacturing, security, and surveillance deployments.

Advantages

The ISW-621TF extends network reach via two mini-GBIC 100Base-FX SFP ports, enabling flexible fiber connections for both short and long distances. Its hardened design offers extended temperature tolerance and improved immunity to EMI and power surges. The compact enclosure supports DIN-rail or panel mounting to save cabinet space, and the integrated wide-range DC power inputs with redundancy increase availability for critical applications.

Suitable for

• Transportation systems (traffic control, ITS)
• Factory automation and manufacturing floors
• Security and surveillance networks
• Industrial network extensions requiring long-distance fiber links

How to use

Mount the ISW-621TF on a DIN rail or secure it to a panel or wall to fit the installation site. Insert appropriate 100Base-FX SFP modules (multi-mode or single-mode) into the SFP slots for desired fiber reach, and connect copper devices to the four 10/100 Mbps RJ-45 ports. Provide DC power via one or both 12–48 V DC inputs, observing polarity; the device supports redundant power for higher availability. No configuration is required for basic switching operation, as the unit is unmanaged.

Recommendations

Use suitable SFP modules and fiber cabling rated for the intended distance and environment; confirm power source compatibility with the 12–48 V DC input range and enable dual power inputs where redundancy is required.
