Renkforce 1296317 Switched Socket — 2-pin Black Power Socket

Renkforce Switchable Socket 1296317 — 2-pole black mains socket provides a compact, switchable connection for AC-powered devices. The unit supports two-pole switching to interrupt both live and neutral conductors, enabling safer isolation of connected equipment. Finished in black, the socket is intended for installation where controlled on/off power is needed for maintenance, energy management or simple device control in homes and workshops.

Advantages

The switchable two-pole design allows complete interruption of the circuit, improving safety during service and reducing standby consumption. Its compact form factor and standard mains socket interface make it compatible with a wide range of devices and easy to integrate into existing setups. The black finish provides a neutral appearance that suits both visible and concealed installations.

Suitable for

• Temporarily cutting power to tools and equipment during maintenance
• Switching devices on and off in a workshop or garage
• Energy-saving control of appliances that do not require permanent mains connection
• Use in testing setups where repeated isolation of mains is required

Key specifications

• Switch type: two-pole switching (interrupts both live and neutral)
• Color: black
• Application: mains socket for AC-powered devices
• Mounting: inline or panel-mount compatible with standard socket dimensions
• Intended environment: indoor use in domestic and workshop settings

How to use

Install the switchable socket according to applicable electrical regulations and wiring practices. Connect the incoming and outgoing conductors to the designated terminals, ensuring the two-pole switch is wired to interrupt both conductors. After installation, use the integrated switch to open or close the circuit as needed to control power to the connected device. Verify correct operation and grounding before regular use.

Recommendations

Use the socket only with compatible mains voltages and currents; verify ratings of connected equipment and ensure installation by a qualified person where required. Do not expose the unit to moisture or outdoor conditions unless specifically protected. Regularly inspect terminals and connections for signs of wear or overheating and replace if any damage is observed.
