ShiverPeaks BS77051 cable gender changer

The ShiverPeaks BS77051 is a compact USB A to Mini USB B gender changer designed to enable direct connection between devices and cables with different USB end types. Built to USB 2.0 specifications and finished in black, the adapter features nickel-plated contacts to improve corrosion resistance and maintain reliable signal transfer. Its small form factor makes it suitable for carrying in bags or pockets when you need to adapt existing cables or peripherals.

Advantages

This gender changer offers a practical way to convert a USB A plug to a Mini USB B connection without replacing cables. Nickel-plated contacts reduce oxidation and support consistent electrical contact over repeated insertions. Compliance with USB 2.0 ensures compatibility with a wide range of legacy and current devices that use Mini USB B connectors, while the compact black housing provides discreet portability and minimal clutter.

Suitable for

• Connecting older digital cameras, MP3 players or external drives with Mini USB B ports to USB A cables
• Adapting existing USB A cables for use with Mini USB B peripherals
• Travel and mobile use where carrying multiple cable types is impractical

How to use

Insert the USB A plug of a cable into the USB A side of the ShiverPeaks BS77051 adapter, then connect the Mini USB B end of the adapter to the target device. Ensure both devices are powered off when making the connection if recommended by the device manufacturer. After connecting, power on the devices and verify that data transfer or charging functions are recognized by the host device. Remove the adapter by gently unplugging it from both ends when finished.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for data transfer and peripheral connections within USB 2.0 speed and power limits. Avoid applying excessive force when inserting connectors, and store the adapter in a dry environment to preserve the nickel-plated contacts. For devices requiring higher data rates or USB Power Delivery, use a compatible cable or adapter designed for those specifications.
