ShiverPeaks BS85324 Coaxial Adapter

The ShiverPeaks BS85324 coaxial connector provides a reliable adapter between an IEC female/male style connector and an F-type connection, enabling compatibility between devices and antenna/cable installations. Constructed as a single-piece unit with nickel-plated contacts, it is intended for audio and video signal transmission where a stable RF/coaxial link is required. The compact design and standard connector interfaces make it suitable for quick installations and straightforward cable routing.

Advantages

Nickel-plated contacts reduce corrosion and ensure consistent conductivity over time, improving signal stability. The single-piece construction minimizes points of failure and simplifies handling during installation. The combination of IEC and F connectors allows bridging common household AV equipment, set-top boxes, TVs and antenna or cable feeds without needing additional adapters or cable replacement.

Suitable for

• Connecting televisions or set-top boxes to an antenna or cable feed
• Bridging IEC and F-type coaxial cables in home AV setups
• Temporary or permanent RF connections in audio/video installations
• Small-scale professional AV setups where compact adapters are required

Key specifications

• Connector types: IEC connector to F-type connector
• Contact plating: nickel-plated contacts for enhanced durability
• Construction: single-piece coaxial adapter
• Intended signals: RF/coaxial audio and video transmission
• Form factor: compact inline adapter suitable for confined spaces

How to use

Align the IEC end with the corresponding IEC connector on the device and push or rotate into place according to the device’s connector type. Attach the F-type connector to the cable or wall outlet by threading the F connector until secure; ensure a firm, hand-tight connection without excessive force. Verify the connection by testing the audio/video signal on the receiving device and, if necessary, reseat connections to eliminate intermittent contact.

Recommendations

For best performance, install the connector in dry indoor environments and avoid exposing nickel-plated contacts to moisture or corrosive atmospheres. Use hand tightening for the F-type coupling and avoid overtightening with tools. If signal issues occur, inspect contacts for dirt or damage and clean with appropriate, non-abrasive materials before reuse.
