Silex DS-600 Network Device

The Network Device Silex DS-600 is a compact USB Device Server that makes locally connected USB devices available on a network. Using Silex Technology's USB Virtual Link, the DS-600 lets scanners, MFPs, hard disks, cameras and other USB peripherals appear to a PC as if they were connected directly by USB cable, so existing device drivers and application software can be used unchanged. How to use

Connect the DS-600 to the office network via the RJ-45 Ethernet port and attach the USB device to the USB port or to a compatible USB hub. Install SX Virtual Link or Silex Device Server Setup software on the PC that will access the device; SX Virtual Link enables the remote USB device to appear as a local USB connection. Configure network and security settings through the Device Server Setup utility, assign passwords to USB ports if required, and, for storage devices, verify the file system is FAT12/16/32 for NAS availability.
