Varta 57685 101 441 Battery Charger

The Varta 57685 101 441 battery charger is a compact charger for AA and AAA rechargeable batteries. It supports charging of up to four batteries simultaneously and works from a wide-range AC input (100–240 V). The unit includes an integrated LCD display that shows charge status and progress, and it is designed to accept cells with capacities up to approximately 2100 mAh. Its small footprint and straightforward operation make it suitable for home use and small offices where reliable recharging of standard NiMH AA and AAA cells is required.

Advantages

The charger accommodates both AA and AAA sizes in a single device and charges up to four batteries at once, reducing the number of cycles needed to keep spare batteries ready. The built-in LCD display provides clear information on charging progress and status. With universal AC voltage compatibility (100–240 V), the charger can be used in different regions without an external adapter. The compact black housing is easy to store and transport, and the device supports commonly used battery capacities, simplifying replacement of depleted cells.

Suitable for

• Household devices that use AA or AAA rechargeable batteries (remote controls, toys, clocks)
• Small office equipment and wireless peripherals (keyboards, mice)
• Travel kits where compact charging for spare rechargeable cells is needed
• Hobby electronics and battery-dependent tools requiring regular battery replacement

How to use

Place up to four rechargeable AA or AAA batteries into the charger with correct polarity and connect the charger to an AC outlet within the specified input range. The LCD will indicate the charging status for each slot; leave the batteries in the unit until the display shows they are fully charged. Remove the batteries once charging is complete and disconnect the charger from the mains if it will not be used for an extended period. Follow battery manufacturer guidance regarding charge cycles and compatible chemistries (NiMH). Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.

Recommendations

For longest cell life, use cells of the same capacity and age in the charger and avoid mixing different brands. Charge batteries at room temperature and avoid charging immediately after heavy use or when cells are hot. Store the charger in a dry place when not in use and unplug from the mains to reduce standby power consumption.
