APC Easy Rack Side Panel 42U/1000mm Deep Split Side Panels Black 2 pcs.

The APC side panel set for 42U racks, model ER7SIDE4210, is a pair of black metal panels designed to enclose the sides of a 42U server cabinet. Supplied as a pack of two panels with a combined mass of approximately 15 kg, these panels attach to compatible 42U enclosures to provide a continuous side surface that improves physical protection and contributes to controlled airflow within the cabinet. The panels are intended for installation in data centers, server rooms and network closets where standard 42U rack enclosures require side closure to meet security and cooling layout needs.

Advantages

These side panels create a secure and tamper-resistant side barrier that reduces the risk of unauthorized access to equipment. By providing a flat, solid side surface they assist in directing airflow through front and rear rack openings, helping to maintain predictable cooling patterns. The black finish offers a neutral appearance that matches most enterprise racks, and the two-piece pack allows both sides of a 42U cabinet to be closed at once. The design supports straightforward retrofit on standard 42U enclosures without modifying installed equipment.

Suitable for

• Closing and securing the side openings of 42U server racks
• Improving airflow management in data center and server room racks
• Retrofitting existing 42U cabinets that require side panels
• Maintaining a uniform rack appearance in network closets and IT rooms
