Esselte 128001 Archive Box Cardboard Red, White

The Esselte 128001 file storage box is a lightweight cardboard folder designed in a portrait orientation with a red and white colour scheme. Measuring 80 x 245 x 345 mm and weighing approximately 140 g, it is intended for neat storage and transport of documents, files and loose sheets. The construction provides a slim profile for shelf storage while the durable cardboard material offers basic protection for paperwork in everyday office or home use.

Advantages

This file storage box combines a compact footprint with low weight, making it easy to move between workstations or archive shelves. The portrait format and fixed dimensions allow documents to stand upright, optimising shelf space. The red and white design makes it simple to visually organise or colour-code files, and the cardboard construction is recyclable, supporting straightforward disposal or recycling when the box reaches the end of its service life.

How to use

Place documents upright inside the box so that spines or edges face upward for easy retrieval. Use the box on open shelving, in cabinets, or as a portable holder for active projects. For best results, distribute weight evenly and avoid overfilling to maintain shape and ensure the cardboard retains its protective properties. If the box will be moved frequently, handle from the base to reduce stress on the sides and seams.

Recommendations

Store the box away from prolonged moisture and direct sunlight to preserve cardboard integrity. For long-term archiving or heavy items, consider using reinforced or plastic storage alternatives. Label the visible edge or spine area to improve retrieval speed and integrate the box into a colour-coded filing scheme.
