Esselte 48320 Metal File Storage Box Various Colours

The Esselte 48320 file storage box is a metal document container designed for landscape storage of papers and files. Constructed from durable metal with a smooth finish and available in assorted colours, it enables efficient horizontal stacking and easy retrieval of documents. The box is suited to both home and office environments, offering a compact and stable solution for organising papers, reports and project files while protecting contents from dust and light.

Advantages

The metal construction provides greater durability and impact resistance compared with cardboard alternatives, while the landscape format allows documents to be stored flat and accessed without excessive bending. Assorted colours help visually separate projects or categories, and the solid material increases longevity and load-bearing capacity. The design supports tidy stacking and stable placement on shelves or under desks.

How to use

Place documents flat inside the box in the landscape orientation to avoid creasing. Group papers by category or date and use different coloured boxes to separate projects. Stack boxes on shelves or under desks, ensuring heavier items are placed at the bottom of a stack to maintain stability. Regularly review and reorganise contents to keep the stored documents accessible and up to date.

Recommendations

For best results, use the assorted colours to implement a simple colour-coding system and avoid placing the metal box in damp environments to prevent corrosion over time. When stacking multiple boxes, limit stack height according to shelf strength and distribute weight evenly.
