Cable kit for Fujitsu server RAID card PY-CBS133 — accessory cable for RAID controller connections

Cable set for Fujitsu server RAID card PY-CBS133 is an accessory kit designed to provide the necessary cabling for integrating a Fujitsu RAID controller into server systems. The set contains the connection cables commonly required for linking the RAID card to drive backplanes and internal storage devices in rack-mounted and tower servers. It is intended to simplify installation and maintenance by offering ready-made, compatible cables that help maintain reliable data connectivity in enterprise environments.

Advantages

The cable set delivers a straightforward connection solution that reduces the need to source individual cables. Using purpose-made cables for Fujitsu RAID controller connections helps ensure correct signal routing and robust mechanical fit, which contributes to stable data transfer between the controller and storage devices. The kit supports organized internal cabling, which can improve airflow and serviceability in server chassis.

Suitable for

• Installing or replacing RAID controller connections in rack and tower servers
• Connecting server RAID cards to drive backplanes and internal storage arrays
• Server maintenance tasks where original or compatible cabling is required
• Data center or enterprise environments requiring verified cable compatibility

Key specifications

• Cable types: internal controller-to-backplane/interconnect cables compatible with Fujitsu RAID controller form factors
• Connector interfaces: standard internal storage and backplane connectors used in Fujitsu servers
• Length: factory-specified lengths suitable for typical server chassis layouts
• Cable shielding: designed to reduce interference and maintain signal integrity in server environments
• Compatibility: intended for use with compatible Fujitsu server RAID cards and matching backplanes

How to use

Power down the server and disconnect mains power before installing the cable set. Identify the RAID controller and the target backplane or drive connectors, then route the cables following the server manufacturer's guidance to avoid obstructing airflow or cooling components. Connect one end of each cable to the RAID card ports and the other end to the corresponding backplane or drive connectors, ensuring secure seating of each connector. After confirming connections, restore power and verify that the RAID controller detects the connected drives under the server firmware or operating system utilities. Where firmware or BIOS settings are involved, follow the system documentation to complete initialization and configuration.

Recommendations

Use the supplied cables only in compatible Fujitsu server models and with matching backplanes. Avoid excessive bending or pulling on cable assemblies, and follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions during installation. Replace any cable that shows visible damage or intermittent connectivity to maintain reliable RAID performance and data integrity.
