Goobay CAT 6 SFTP 2m Black Network Cable

The Goobay CAT 6 SFTP 2m Black network cable provides a 2-metre connection for wired data transmission between network devices. Its shielded twisted pair (PiMF) construction reduces electromagnetic interference and supports reliable high-speed network links for typical home and office environments. The cable is finished in black and is intended for standard Ethernet connectivity where Category 6 performance is required.

Advantages

The SFTP (shielded with foil and braid) PiMF design improves signal integrity and reduces crosstalk compared with unshielded alternatives. With a 2 m length the cable offers a balance between reach and neat installation behind desks or entertainment units. The Category 6 specification allows for stable performance at higher data rates within the cable’s rated application, while the black jacket provides a low-visibility appearance in most interiors.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, switches, routers and networked printers within homes and small offices
• Wiring between wall outlets and networking equipment
• Short runs in server closets or behind AV cabinets where shielded cables reduce interference

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 6
• Shielding: SFTP (foil and braid) with PiMF pairs
• Length: 2 m
• Color: Black
• Connector type: Standard RJ45 terminated on both ends

How to use

Plug one RJ45 connector into the network port of your modem, router, switch or device and the other connector into the corresponding port on the destination device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until they click. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, heavy kinks or areas with strong mechanical strain; secure with cable ties or clips if needed. For best performance keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and large electrical equipment.

Recommendations

Use this CAT 6 SFTP cable for short to medium-length Ethernet connections where reduced electromagnetic interference is beneficial. Inspect connectors before installation and avoid excessive bending near the connector boots to preserve contact integrity and maintain consistent network performance.
