Microconnect MONC-DUMMY DVI-D Cable Adapter Black

The Microconnect MONC-DUMMY Cable gender changer is a DVI-D male-to-female adapter designed to provide a simple connection solution for devices with DVI outputs. It supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz and is compatible with graphics cards that use standard DVI-D signaling. The adapter has a compact black housing intended for use in both home and office environments where a reliable DVI connection is required.

Advantages

The adapter converts a DVI-D male plug to a female receptacle without the need for additional cables, offering a space-saving and low-profile connection. Its solid build and standardized DVI-D interface ensure stable signal transmission at Full HD resolution. The unobtrusive black finish blends with most AV equipment and cable setups.

Suitable for

• Extending or adapting existing DVI-D cable connections
• Connecting monitors, projectors or graphics cards with DVI-D ports
• Temporary or permanent setups in home or office workstations

How to use

Insert the DVI-D male plug from the source device or cable into the adapter’s male connector, then connect a DVI-D cable or device to the adapter’s female socket. Ensure screws (if present) are tightened to secure the connection and prevent accidental disconnection. No drivers or power supply are required; the adapter passes through the existing DVI signal.

Recommendations

Use the adapter with DVI-D (digital only) interfaces; it does not convert between analog (DVI-A/VGA) and digital signals. For best results, avoid excessive bending or strain on connected cables and secure the adapter in locations where it will not be frequently tugged.
