Wiha 36453 L-Shaped Hex Key

The Wiha 36453 L-shaped hex key set contains 11 carefully sized keys engineered for accuracy and long service life. Constructed from high-quality tool steel with precise hex profiles, the L-shaped keys deliver reliable fit in hex sockets and screws. The compact, lightweight set (617 g total package weight) is supplied in an organizer that keeps each key accessible and protected, suitable for mobile tool kits and fixed workshops alike.

Advantages

The L-shaped design provides both reach and leverage: the long arm allows access to recessed fasteners while the short arm gives higher torque for tightening and loosening. Hardened and tempered steel construction resists wear and maintains a precise fit, reducing cam-out and rounding of fastener heads. The organizer keeps keys sorted, minimises loss and supports quick selection of the correct size. The compact footprint and modest weight make the set easy to transport and store.

How to use

Select the hex key whose profile matches the hex socket or screw head to ensure a secure fit. Insert the short or long arm into the fastener depending on whether you need greater torque or additional reach: use the short arm for higher torque and the long arm for access to recessed or tight locations. Apply steady, controlled force to avoid damaging the fastener. After use, return the keys to their organizer to maintain order and protect the tips from wear.

Recommendations

For prolonged tool life and consistent performance, keep the hex key tips clean and free of debris, avoid using excessive impact or pry forces, and store the set in a dry environment. Match key size precisely to the fastener to reduce wear and prevent rounding.
